Joseph
/ Director Stylist
Active in the Fashion and Beauty Industry for over 22 years, Joseph co-founded
Genacelli in 1988 & has been a recognized Leader, Educator and Consultant
in the Beauty Industry ever since.
Joseph is
an active board member of The Cosmetologists Chicago Executive Board from
2004 - 2006. He is the Artistic Director and Co-founder of The Cosmetologists
Chicago Artistic Team from 2004 - 2006.
He is an
active member of Fashion Group International, The Editorial Advisory Board
of Vibra Magazine and an Advisory Board Member of Pivot Point International.
Joseph also shares his experience as a Concept Stylist to various local
fashion events as well as public media and film.
On a personal
note, Joseph is a recording artist and drummer for the band Second Story.
He is also the proud father of two adorable girls.
Cynthia
/ Esthetics Director
Co-founded Genacelli in 1988 and celebrates over 23 years in the Beauty
and Fashion Industry.
Her talent
as a Markup Artist, Photo Stylist, Fashion Event Coordinator and Conceptualist
make her a sought after Fashion and Beauty Expert. She is also an active
member of Cosmetologist Chicago, the AMTA and a Repechage Skin Care Consultant.
As a Community
Activist, Cynthia sits on the board of the CLMA, co-chairs the SSA #17
of Central Lakeview and contributes her vision to various neighborhood
beautification projects.
Cynthia
is intellectually passionate and forever a student of Art, Architecture
and Photography, all of which inspire her life and her work.
Peter
/ Master Stylist
A Genacelli Team Member for over 10 years, Peter began his hairdressing
career nearly 20 years ago. A native of Michigan, Peter is an in-salon
Educator as well as Platform Artist for a variety of major Trend and Beauty
Shows.
An active
member of Cosmetologists Chicago and the National Cosmetology Association,
he is the recipient of the CC Presidents Scholarship Award for 2002, 2005
and 2006.
Peter also
participated in Color America 2005 and is a Certified Redken Colorist. His advance training from Redken 5th Avenue Exchange and RAREnyc
allow him to inspire clients to try something new and trust his skill
and intuition.
Peter will
be spending a lot of time in New York this year, exchanging views on the
most current Fashion Trends in Hair Cut and Color the Beauty Industry
has to offer.
When Peter
is not in the Salon turning out Fabulous Hair, you may see him zipping
around town on his scooter!
Alice
/ Master Stylist
Beginning her career as a Hairdresser in Indiana over 20 years ago, Alice
has been expressing herself creatively as a leading team member of Genacelli
for well over 11 years. She is an inspiring in-salon Educator, as well
as Fashion Event and Photo Stylist.
A Certified
Redken Master and Specialist, she participated in Color America 2005,
is a recipient of the CC Presidents Scholarship Award 2004 and an active
member of Chicago Cosmetologists and the National Cosmetology Association
since 1994.
Alice will
also be traveling extensively to New York and Las Vegas in pursuit of
advanced certification in Hair Fashion from RAREnyc and Redken 5th Avenue.
Joanie
/ Senior Stylist
A member of the Genacelli Team for over 3 years, Joanie relocated to Chicago
from Kansas where she began her career as a Hairdresser 19 years ago.
She is an aspiring Platform Artist for major Trend and Beauty Shows as
well as a Fashion Event and Photo Stylist.
She is an
active member of Cosmetologists Chicago and the National Cosmetology Association
and a recipient of the CC Presidents Scholarship Award 2006. Joanie continues
to evolve creatively through advance training with RAREnyc, Minardi-NY
and Redken 5th Avenue Exchange.
This year,
Joanie will add to her credit, Certifications in the Redken Masters and
Specialists Program as well as Color America 2006 and RAREnyc.
Joanie is
definitely a KU fan (Go Jayhawks!) but her heart is now in Chicago. She
is a two-time tri-athlete in the Chicago Accenture Triathlon.
Laura
/ Senior Stylist
Four years ago, Laura moved to Chicago from Michigan and instantly became
one of Genacelli's most dynamic and creative New Talent Team Members.
With over
5 years of Beauty Industry experience, Laura also expresses her talent
behind the scenes at various local Fashion Events and Photo Shoots. She
is an active member of Cosmetologist Chicago as well as the National Cosmetology
Association. Laura also received the CC Presidents Scholarship Award 2006.
Laura is
certified in Creative Cutting through the Vidal Sassoon Academy and is
a Certified Redken Master and Specialist. This year she will add to her
repertoire by attending advance certification programs at the Redken 5th
Avenue Exchange and RAREnyc, Kerastase Academy as well as an elite member of the Cosmetologist Chicago Artistic Team.
Beth
/ Designer Stylist
A cutting edge stylist, Beth relocated from her home state of Nebraska, where she taught haircut and color at the College of Hair Design. She is an active member of the Cosmetologists Chicago as well as an Elite Member of the Artistic Team.
Beth shares her creative vision outside the salon in local fashion events and photo shoots and has the unique ability to transform herself and to inspire you to discover another side to your fashion statement.

Kristen
/ Designer Stylist
Kristen joined the Genacelli Team last year when she relocated from Oklahoma. With over 4 years in the industry, Kristen's creative flair will surely get you noticed.
Kristen will be taking a trip next spring to London where she will team up with other stylists to exchange ideas and inspiration in hair cutting.

Steve
/ Operations Manager
A Genacelli Team Member for over 10 years, Steve served in the US Air
Force for 4 years in Germany in the early '90's. When returning to his
native Chicago, Steve attended North Eastern University where he studied
Anthropology.
Bozena
/ Assistant Manager
Celebrating her 3rd anniversary as a member of the Genacelli Team,
Bozena left her native Poland to begin a new life in America. Her ambitious
nature is sure to make her a success!
Kirsten
/ Reception and Production Assistant
Aside from pursuing a degree in Philosophy from the North Eastern Illinois University, Kirsten plays a significant role in all Genacelli Special Events and Photo Shoots. She is also a freelance Makeup Artist for MAC cosmetics. She also loves deep dish pizza.
Tiffany
/ Reception
Tiffany moved to Chicago 2 years ago to further her career in acting. She attends Columbia College full-time and also serves as Chief Administrative Officer for the Ri Me Chi Theatre Company. She has always dreamed of being in a band but her lack of musical talent kept her in theatre.
